ONGOING PROJECTS

SynergiaBio is currently developing the following projects:

bionostra Development of procedures to increase the yield of saccharification.

Identification and manipulation of genes that modify the cell wall, rich in cellulose, to increase the efficiency of processing for bioethanol production. These studies are developed in collaboration with several European laboratories, in the 7th Framework Programme UE.

bionostra Generation of biodegradable industrial lubricants

SynergiaBio, in collaboration with several Spanish laboratories, research potential new oil crops as a source of renewable bio-lubricants and biodegradable. The most promising will be included in a breeding program that will develop more resilient and productive crops.

bionostra Tunnels for CO2

Identification program and genetic improvement of plants capable of fixing CO2 derived from steam power and use this gas for biomass generation.

bionostra Identification of new plants as a source of biomass

In collaboration with some of the most prestigious scientists in the field of molecular biology SynergiaBio develops a long-term program whose primary goal is the identification and assessment of plants with great potential for generation of biofuels and coproducts.
